What I wrote here in Latino Music Café as a wish has become a reality. A few days ago I hoped some Latin music artists would come together for a benefit concert for Hurricane Sandy victims. Latin music artists are getting together in two separate events to raise funds for Sandy victims.
Thanks to the Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN), Colombian Latin pop-rock star Juanes and Dominican Latin music icon Juan Luis Guerra will team (again) on November 24th for a Live benefit concert in Brooklyn to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The other event, a radio-telethon sponsored by the Spanish Broadcasting System network already took place from Nov 7th to 9th, although it lacked Live performances.
Juanes and Juan Luis Guerra teamed-up this year to produce the Latin Grammy nominated “Juanes MTV Unplugged”, which was reviewed here in Latino Music Café (link HERE).
This benefit concert in Brooklyn might open the door to a joint concert tour in 2013. You can read more details on this concert in the news clip HERE.
I feel proud to see our Latin music artist step up to support those in need.
