Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi released last week the first single of his upcoming new Latin pop album, the high energy heartbreak pop Rock song “El Corazon en la Maleta”.
The Latin pop star debuted “El Corazon en la Maleta” in the award show “Premios Lo Nuestro” in Univision (see video below). The song is about putting behind a failed love relation, and the links to his personal live and the high profile divorce from his ex-wife and soap opera actress Adamaris Lopez immediately surfaced.
In an interview with Univision’s TV show Primer Impacto (see video below) Fonsi puts that to rest very quickly.
Luis Fonsi Interview about “El Corazon en la Maleta”
I like “El Corazon en la Maleta” because of its high energy pop rock music, and the symbolism of having your heart in a suitcase, signifying moving on with one’s life, which is what Luis Fonsi talks about in his interview. The song, part of his 8th Latin pop album, was recorded in London and was written by him with singer-song writer Claudia Brant. It was produced by Martin Terefe.
